South Loop Road

The Steens Moutnain Loop Road traverses most of the Steens. From Frenchglen, the road gently climbs 26 miles to the junction of spur roads that reach the East Rim and the Wildhorse/Summit trailheads. Those first 26 miles form the North Loop Road. The South Loop Road is a continuation, 26 miles back down to the Frenchglen-Fields highway (Hwy 205), across the South Steens.
